Finding Nana

“Room 17. Four walls full of lipstick, laughter, hairspray and Horlicks. Nana is nut brown and wrinkled and she has chicken fillets for arms. That’s what we say. And she treats me like I’m way more amazing than I actually am”

Set in a seaside hotel of halcyon childhood summers, this autobiographical play by award-winning writer Jane Upton charts the journey back to find a beloved Nana before she forgot who she was.

Following hit plays All the Little Lights, Swimming and Bones, Finding Nana is about the universal, unconditional love between a granddaughter and her Nana and the desperate need to capture memories before they disappear.

Whether you are a Nana, Grandpa, Granny, Pops, Nanny, Mama or Gran, that grandparent grandchild relationship is special, we invite you to come and share your memorable moments together in an interactive workshop with Participation Director Jayne Williams on tour.
Join us on the afternoon of Finding Nana, to create and shape some of your own stories to share with the audience on the night. All you have to do is buy a ticket for the play and email Jayne to book your place on the workshop with your grandparent or grandchild aged 14+, or you are welcome to book a place just for you.
Workshop times: 3-5pm with a sharing after the evening performance of Finding Nana
Cost: Just your ticket for the play and a pound in the donation box will be welcomed on the day
