English Storytale Folk and beyond!

Pennyless present four very different musical personalities working in harmony to produce a vibrant live mix of sparkling instrumentals and quirky songs with characteristic English humour! Medieval minstrel beat, lush harmonies and strong melodies are all hallmarks of their original songs.

As inventive troubadours of song and dance tunes, Pennyless specialise in their own brand of English storytale folk. With Penny Stevens on fiddle, Les Woods on guitar, Colin Benton on bass guitar, mandolin and bouzouki, made complete by Graham Dale on a bewildering array of instruments from whistle to darabuka, melodica to flute and cajon to caval!

"The quality of this recording and musicianship is faultless and if you want to journey into a world of fantasy, mystery and magic then have a listen to this album-it feels like Lincolnshire meets Lord of The Rings!" Mardles Folk Magazine June '14 on their latest album HANGING MOON

"Inspirational, quirky south Lincolnshire acid psych-folk outfit" Folk Roundabout Magazine June '14
