New Brochure Out Now!
01/08/2008
The new brochure of events happening across Northamptonshire from Sept to March 09 is now out. If yo... Read more.

Performers

Twice a year the scheme manager programmes a 'menu' of around 20 shows; a mixture of theatre, children’s theatre, music, comedy and dance events, for volunteer promoters to choose from.

The promoters have 6-8 weeks to make their decisions and contact NTA with their choices. Some companies will allocate dates so they can be booked straight away others say the show is generally available and the scheme manager can then see if the date a promoter is suggesting is also available with the company.

All events are run by volunteers in their local community and are held in village halls, community centres, schools and churches. The volunteers do most of the work as far as selling tickets, advertising the event and hosting the event on the day. NTA subsidises the cost of the event, liaises with the company and promoter, issues contracts and produces a brochure of all of the events across Northamptonshire. Although promoters are encouraged to take a variety of events the decision is entirely up to them so sometimes a performance which is included in the 'menu' will have a whole string of dates, some will have one or two but others may not get any bookings. Programming periods are:

  • February – March for the Autumn Menu (Sept – Feb)
  • June – July for the Spring/ Summer Menu (Feb – July)

Information can be sent at any time but may not be looked at until these times.

Due to the volume of enquires and submissions it is not possible to reply to everyone. If you haven’t heard by the end of April or end of July you have not be successful on this occasion but please do continue to keep NTA up to date with your forthcoming performances.

If you would like to be considered as a performer for NTA please download and complete the Company Information Form and either email or print off and post it with a CD or DVD to the address below.
